Puentes was developed as the first national bridge database and crowdsourcing tool for infrastructure status reporting.

It empowered both government officials and citizens to track, update, and report on bridge conditions in real time—bringing transparency, safety, and collaboration into public infrastructure management.

The Challenge

The government lacked a centralized, accessible record of its bridges, their conditions, construction data, and safety status.

As a result, critical issues often went unreported or were discovered too late.

They needed a system to collect and display data, automate tracking, and invite the public to participate in real-time updates.

The Solution

10 Grounds delivered a full suite of tools for data capture, infrastructure visibility, and mobile reporting.

We developed a public map-based web portal for exploring every bridge in the country—complete with cost, location, contractor, and structural status.

Government workers and citizens alike could submit reports (with GPS and photos) through native iOS and Android apps. An admin panel allowed officials to moderate reports and manage bridge metadata with ease.
